If you knew that tomorrow would be your last day on earth, how would you spend it?
Is there a certain person or persons who come to mind?
What about a specific activity?
Or even a feeling?
Perhaps it’s…
Spending an entire day with your favorite person with no agenda, no care in the world.
Hiking in a wooded forest with plentiful trails and waterfalls, as you are at one with nature.
Enjoying your favorite meal by candlelight as you listen to music that moves your soul.
Laughing until it hurts with a beloved friend, fully appreciating the joy and purity of the moment.
Finally releasing the words that have been on your heart for so long… I’m sorry, I miss you, I love you, I’m proud of you.
Singing at the top of your lungs and dancing with wild abandon, as if nobody is watching.
Taking in every beautiful inch of your child’s face as you try to remember them as they are in that slice of time.
Strolling hand-in-hand with your partner as you reflect with gratitude on the life you’ve built together.
Waking up early to appreciate the magnificent sunset, as nature and its creatures awaken with the day.
Saying goodbye to yesterday’s fears and challenges and facing the day with a wide-open heart.
Tell me, what would you do if tomorrow was your last?
How would you spend your precious remaining hours on earth?
With whom would you spend it?
Now, take those visions and breathe them into existence, friends... right now. Today.
Because we aren’t promised tomorrow, because we aren’t guaranteed another morning, the time is now.
The time is now to do the things that light up your soul and bring you joy, with those who feel like home.
Right now is the time because it is all you have.
So, make the most of it.
Don’t overthink it. Don’t put it off to another day.
Today is the day to live like it’s your last.
